I take the kid’s up the Ash River in Voyeguer’s National Park each summer and fish below the water falls for Crappie, they just love it. Some good info here- http://www.fishingminnesota.110mb.com Changes quit often, but they had a good article about the park and Crappie fishing (Big Smallmouth Bass also).

That’s the rule.

Enid, Sardis and Arkabutla will allow five poles with two hooks each, while Grenada will remain three poles with two hooks each.

The closest trails with several options is Tishomingo State Park, with Bear Creek.

Waterfalls? I would go to Alabama north of Haleyville where there are four or five falls fairly close by.

This is totally off topic, but since you are the outdoors guru, I figured you could help me. I’m looking for a good hiking trail in the Tupelo area with some sort of water element. A waterfall would be ideal, but I could settle for a stream. Do you know of anything around here?

Scruggs has the best selection of fishing equipment I have seen so far, and they have the added advantage of being able to special order from Bass Pro Shops and receive the merchandise — if in stock — within a couple of days. Other places — Hunter’s Haven, Wal-Mart, etc. — have the standard fare. And there’s a seasonal Mom-and-Pop store on Industrial that has a good selection. But none have the direct support from a major supplier like Bass Pro Shops.
